The Community Education Jazz Bands program provides musicians with the opportunity to study, rehearse, and perform classic and contemporary jazz literature in a collegiate ensemble setting. Emphasis is placed on the development of ensemble performance skills, musicianship, rehearsal techniques, and artistic interpretation through rehearsals and public performances. Jazz-combo-style repertoire and performance opportunities are also available through this program. The course welcomes wind and rhythm section musicians seeking continued musical growth, lifelong learning, and meaningful artistic engagement within a collaborative ensemble environment.
