Mushroom Propagation and Cultivation

This will be an experiential course which offers an introduction to mushroom propagation and cultivation, focusing on edible saprophytic (wood-feeding) mushrooms, and a hands-on experience of propagating a specific mushroom from spawn starter material. Students will produce a starter spawn bag which they can take home and use to produce mushrooms or inoculate their garden for perennial mushroom cultivation.
