Aloha, and welcome to the wonderful world of ukulele! In this introductory course, kids will learn the basics they need to start strumming and singing their favorite tunes in no time. We'll start by covering the anatomy of the ukulele and how to properly hold and tune your uke. Then, we'll dive into the magical world of chords, learning the major, minor, and 7th chords that form the foundation of so many great songs. But we won't stop there! We'll also cover the basics of rhythm and strumming patterns, so you can start to develop your own unique style. And of course, we'll touch on the essential skills of reading tablature and sheet music. But this class isn't just about technique and theory. We'll also have plenty of fun along the way, exploring different musical styles and learning how to play songs that you actually want to sing along to. The final class will feature a jam session for all families to attend!
